PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday filed a corruption reference at the accountability court against a deputy engineer of Pakistan Locomotive Factory Risalpur for accumulating illegal assets. Deputy Engineer Faiz Ali Shah has been accused of amassing assets worth Rs13.2 million. This according to NAB is well beyond his known sources of income. The reference was filed after NAB completed its investigation, said an official requesting anonymity. The court had earlier given Shah to NAB on a seven-day physical remand after he was arrested. He was accused of possessing two high-value plots in Sheikh Maltoon Township Mardan, a CNG filling station, 10-kanal commercial plot in Nowshera and 16-kanal agricultural land in Mardan. NAB claimed the property he owns was accumulated through illegal means.
