Terror threat: Police on alert against possible attack

RAWALPINDI: The police have been put on high alert after a report that four suspected suicide bombers have entered the country from Afghanistan to sabotage the twin cities. According to a security official, an alert titled ‘threats warning’ has been dispatched to police and security agencies warning of Afghan terrorist, Tariq, who has reportedly handed over four suicide bombs to a Pakistani terrorist, identified as Talha alias doctor, to carry out attacks in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Charsadda. According to the warning, the suicide bombers could target an MPA and a former security official in Rawalpindi, as their local facilitators have also carried out surveillance of his house. Police have been directed to keep heightened surveillance to avert a possible attack in the cities. The official said the threats have been specifically been directed at the federal capital, which has been put on high alert.
