Power Defaulters: Minister wants zero tolerance policy

He ordered to replace faulty meters and directed that a report be sent to the Ministry of Water and Power

MULTAN: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has directed officials to adopt a zero tolerance policy for recovery of pending dues from defaulters. He directed officials to disconnect electricity connections of the government department defaulters and utilise all resources for recovery. The minister expressed these views while addressing a meeting at the Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) headquarters here Thursday. He ordered to replace faulty meters and directed that a report be sent to the Ministry of Water and Power. During the meeting Mepco CEO Fazalullah Durrani briefed the minister regarding development projects, loadsheding and others matter of the company.
