Doled out: Rs1.6b set aside for development

Of the approved amount, Rs661.9 million has been set aside for the reconstruction of roads

PESHAWAR: Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan has approved Rs1,609 million for development schemes in Fata and rehabilitation of internally displaced families. The announcement was made during a meeting of FATA Development Council on Wednesday. Of the approved amount, Rs661.9 million has been set aside for the reconstruction of roads. The governor also approved Rs361 million to provide facilities to traders and shopkeepers while Rs368.6 million has been set aside as an additional grant for training and support of levies officials. He also approved Rs216.6 million to expedite development projects and construct a stadium in FR Bannu.
