Asked to bat first, Victorians gave a target of 142 runs as Zaidi (45) and opener Liton Das (31) top-scored for the side. Shuvagata Hom also contributed with 21 runs off 11 balls. Pakistan’s Yasir Shah and Farhad Reza took two wickets apiece, while Mustafizur Rahman, Nasir Hossain and Mosharraf Hossain bagged one each.

In reply, Dynamites fell 10 runs short of the target as Victorians’ Abu Hider claimed two wickets, while Shuvagata Hom and skipper Mashrafe Mortaza claimed one wicket apiece. Dynamites’ Nasir made 32 runs off 30 balls, while captain Kumar Sangakkara made 30 runs off 27 balls to top score for the side.
The win takes the Victorians to the top of the table with eight points — Barisal Bulls also have eight points on top but have a lower run rate and a game in hand — while Dynamites lie fourth with six points.
