COAS instructed intelligence and security agencies to go to any lengths to apprehend the perpetrators

“Paying rich tributes to the valour and sacrifice of the two MP soldiers who embraced shahadat, [the] COAS said such terrorist acts aimed to undermine progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb,” chief military spokesperson Lt Gen Asim Bajwa said in a series of short messages on the popular microblogging site Twitter.

“[However, such attacks] cannot shake our national resolve to root out terrorism from our soil once [and] for all,” Gen Raheel said.
“[The] COAS instructed intelligence and security agencies to go to any lengths to apprehend the perpetrators,” Lt Gen Bajwa quoted the army chief as saying.

The funeral prayers for the two slain soldiers were offered at the Karachi Cantonment which was attended by a large number of military officials, including Corps Commander Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar and DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against unidentified suspects under ATA.
