DI KHAN: The counter-terrorism department foiled a terror bid by arresting three suspected militants in DI Khan on Tuesday. An official of Cantt police station told The Express Tribune the arrests were made in Bakhtawarabad, a locality near Kotli Imam Hussain where processions are held in the month of Muharram. “They have been identified as Shahbaz, Siraj Wali and Shah Zoman,” he said. “Shahbaz and Wali belong to Mohmand Agency. However, Zoman is a resident of Charsadda.” According to the police official, CTD officials also confiscated five kilogrammes of explosives, a six-foot prima cord and three electric detonators from their possession. He added the suspected militants have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. A case has been registered against them. Further investigation is under way.
