Elon Musk's AI tool, Grok-2, developed by his xAI startup and launched on X, has quickly sparked controversy. The tool, available to X Premium subscribers, enables users to create images that typically bypass content restrictions seen in other AI tools.

As a result, X has seen a surge in strange and sometimes unsettling images, many of which feature well-known public figures like Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Elon Musk himself.

One widely circulated video shared by a Twitter user shows Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in romantic scenes, including one where they kiss and stroll along a beach. Another image features Musk in various controversial scenarios, such as being walked on a leash by Trump and holding a sign that reads, "I AM A PEDO!"

Grok-2 has also been employed to generate politically charged images, such as US President Joe Biden in an adult diaper and Musk wielding a rifle in a classroom surrounded by graphic violence.

Despite concerns about AI's role in spreading political misinformation, Musk has praised Grok as the "most fun AI in the world," emphasizing its lack of censorship.

The update has raised alarm over the potential for Grok-2 to spread misinformation and disturbing content, particularly as elections approach. However, Musk has responded by celebrating the tool's uncensored nature, calling it the most "uncensored model of its class yet."

Earlier this year, X faced criticism after explicit AI-generated images of Taylor Swift circulated, leading the platform to make her name unsearchable. While Grok reportedly avoids creating explicit images, it is still said to generate provocative content featuring celebrities like Swift, Kamala Harris, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
