Busted: Two held for smuggling

The police registered a case against them and further investigation is under way

WAH SADDAR: The Wah Saddar police on Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin in Punjab and arrested two suspected drug smugglers near the Burhan Interchange. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a Suzuki Mehran (BRAA-129) and during its search recovered 2kg of high-quality heroin which was kept in secret cavities inside the car. The suspected traffickers have been identified as Hayatullah, a resident of Charsadda, and Mudassir Hussain, a resident of Gujrat. The police registered a case against them and further investigation is under way.
