KARACHI:

Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Acting President Mohammad Ibrahim Kasumbi has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date for filing income tax return for individuals from August 31 to October 31, 2015.

“A large number of KCCI members, while seeking assistance, have expressed deep concerns over the short time allowed for tax returns for individuals up to August 31, 2015,” Kasumbi pointed out. “Surprisingly, against past practice, this time the last date has been fixed as August 31 instead of September 30, 2015,” he added. Ibrahim Kasumbi requested the FBR to extend the date while considering the entire period of Hajj and complications in the newly launched Income Tax Return Form uploaded recently.
