QUETTA: At least four bullet-riddled bodies, including those of two women, were found near Airport Road in Quetta on Tuesday.

“Some passers-by spotted the bodies in a tube well in the Killi Shabo area and informed the police,” Station House Officer (SHO) Shaukat Jadoon told The Express Tribune.

“After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Quetta for performing legal formalities,” he added.

The deceased were identified as Malik Asif Kansi, Khan Mohammad, Palosha and Saleha, according to the hospital sources. “The deceased received multiple bullets in their bodies which resulted in their death,” a source said.

Police say initial reports suggest that motive behind the killing may be linked to an old enmity. A case has been registered against the unidentified persons while further investigations are under way.

Last month, three bodies were found in the Dasht Kudan area of Balochistan’s Turbat District. Balochistan Levies official Abdul Qadeer, while speaking to The Express Tribune, had confirmed that passers-by in the area came across the bodies in Dasht Kudan after which Balochistan Levies were informed.
