Did Anushka quit eating meat for her dog?

There were reports that she quit non-vegetarian food because her dog, Dude hated the smell of meat

Recently turned vegan Bollywood beauty, Anushka Sharma, sparked a controversy after fans believed her new eating habit was adopted because of her dog.

A tweet by the PK star led several rumours to spread across social media about Sharma turning vegan, saying that she has adopted the new eating habit because of her dog, Dude.

According to Anushka's tweet, her dog hates the smell of meat.

So many reports say I quit non-veg food because my dog doesn't like the smell of meat ! My dog EATS meat . He's a dog . 😐

The star denied the reports but according to Pinkvilla, when Anushka quit eating non-vegetarian food she had announced, "I've recently turned vegetarian so anyways I'm eating a lot more vegetables than what I used to earlier. And it's going great. I'm seeing the difference. It is very important what you eat as that is what you are. So it's very important to make sure you're eating enough vegetables and drinking enough water which I've always done."
