ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is an important country for Mexico that wants to enhance bilateral relations for the benefit of both countries, said Mexican Ambassador based in Tehran and accredited to Pakistan Ulesis Canchola. “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has created a lot of interest among Mexican investors and they intend to explore all areas of potential cooperation with Pakistan.” He said both countries had the potential to complement each other in many areas and they should facilitate regular interaction between their private sectors in order to identify areas of business collaboration. He said Mexico was in the process of reopening its embassy in Islamabad to diversify and further strengthen trade and economic relations with Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, ICCI President Muzzamil Hussain Sabri said bilateral trade of less than $200 million was far below the potential and both countries should accelerate efforts to improve two-way trade.
