LAHORE:

Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts Accessories Manufacturers (Paapam) Chairman Mohammad Siddique Misri has criticised the All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association (APMDA) after the latter made accusations against the former of misleading the government.

Misri stated that the APMDA’s allegations, made in a letter written to the finance minister, are baseless and the body needed to get its facts straight.

“The APMDA letter is full of factual errors. I wish the APMDA officials had taken the trouble to visit the Pakistan Auto Parts Show in Karachi, where thousands of locally produced auto parts were placed on display by over 200 hi-tech APMs from all over Pakistan,” the Paapam chairman said.

Misri further said that, contrary to claims made by APMDA, most car models produced in Pakistan are lower in cost compared to the ones produced in other countries.
