13 dead, 25 injured in bus-truck collision near Khairpur

Rescue teams arrive at the site, shift injured to a nearby hospital

KHAIRPUR: A passenger bus travelling to Karachi collided with a truck, killing 13 people and injuring 25 others on the Indus Highway near Khairpur, Express News reported on Wednesday. 

The passenger bus was en route to Karachi from Multan. The cause of the accident is not known as yet.

Rescue teams arrived at the site of the accident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.

Initial reports have said that five of the injured are in critical condition.

In a separate accident near Beila, a car collided with a motorcycle due to which five persons died.

A family of five, including a husband and wife and their five children, died in the incident.
