Youth-focused: K-P plans IT conference in May

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, in collaboration with the World Bank and other partner organisations, is going to hold a mega IT conference titled “Digital Youth Summit 2015” in May this year to showcase and utilise the innovative thinking and potential of the youth of the province.


This two-day conference will provide a platform for the budding IT- oriented youth to showcase their innovative talent and will provide them ample opportunities. K-P Senior Minister for Science, Technology and IT Shahram Khan Tarakai disclosed this at the Press Club here on Tuesday.


“The K-P government is working on a number of initiatives to effectively utilise information technology to find out solutions to day-to-day issues of citizens,” said Tarakai. He added the Digital Youth Summit 2015 is an important step towards improving the capacity of government departments and ensuring utmost transparency.


“It will be very helpful in materialising the idea of innovative and skilled youth, our youth are full of talent and innovative potential.”
