Muslim FC, Railways draw 2-2 in PPFL

Lahore-based club faces the threat of relegation

KARACHI: Muslim FC held Pakistan Railways to a 2-2 draw in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) at the KPT Stadium on Monday.

Railways, who are fighting to keep their place in the league at the 11th position, contained Chaman’s Muslim FC in the first half to go nil-nil into half-time.

However, they drew first blood in the 46th minute with Muhammad Abid’s goal, while Wajid Ali doubled the lead in the 61st minute.

Muslim FC bounced back into the game when Haji Muhammad scored in the 78th minute, while Asmatullah equalised four minutes later.

With the result, Muslim FC remained on the seventh place with 22 points, whereas Railways continue on the 11th position with only seven points.

In today’s match, Afghan FC will play NBP at the KPT Stadium.
