Crime round-up: Two booked; car, bike lifted

Two men were booked and a car and a motorcycle were stolen in four separate incidents during the last 24 hours.


In the first incident, the Airport police on Monday charged a man in Chaklala with attempted murder.


A complaint had been filed with the police accusing Abdul Rashid of attempting to poison the food of the complainant’s daughter. The woman’s condition is stated to be critical and she is under treatment in a public hospital.


Meanwhile, a patrolling squad from the same police station arrested Amjad and Saqib and seized two unlicensed 30-bore pistols and six bullets.


Moreover, a car and a motorcycle were stolen from the same area. In the first incident, Qamarul Haq lodged a complaint with the police stating that unidentified thieves had stolen his Honda City (AHH-509) from the porch of his house in Shaheen Colony and Naeem Mehmood approached the same police to report that his motorcycle (RIL-4849) had been stolen from outside his house in Banaras Colony.
