Pomi is the brother of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Khalid Butt.
Additionally, the bails of seven other suspects were also approved.
Pomi had reportedly been the main culprit behind incident that took place in Gujranwala on Friday, which involved the pelting of stones on PTI workers during their 'Azadi' march - injuring four as a result.
The PTI leaders called for the immediate registration of an FIR against Pomi.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had taken notice of the incident, and on his orders a criminal case was registered at the Sabzi Mandi police station in Gujranwala against Pomi and his accomplices on charges of pelting stones on PTI’s rally.
Pomi had surrendered himself to the police, and was arrested with his accomplices.
The case had been registered under Sections 506, 147 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

When it comes to Zardaris, Sharifs, Gullu and Pomi Butts these courts are ultra kind. When it comes to safeguarding this system of loot, corruption and feudalism these courts are ultra strict in protecting it.
if Guloo Butt can get bail, Why not Pomi Butt ! after all he is an MNA. for them Jail is only a safe house from media and law.
@Ozair: The courts did not just release him. Do you even know what bail is? Bail is everyone's right, even if someone is a murderer he has every right to ask for bail. It is in our constitution.
