LAHORE:

Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) leader Sirajul Haq on Thursday condemned the world community for its silence over the killing of Palestinians in Gaza by Israeli forces.

“The bloodshed of Palestinian women and children is ongoing but the world has been unmoved,” Haq said in a statement.

“The oppression of Muslims will continue until they stand united against the enemy.”

The JI leader urged the world community to take notice of Israeli aggression and protect the Palestinians.

He called upon the Organisation of Islamic Conference and Muslim governments across the world to work out a strategy for the safety of the Muslims.

“The double standards of the United Nations on Palestine and Kashmir are a big hurdle to the liberation of these areas,” the JI leader said.

He said US President Barack Obama’s statement that Israel had the right to self-defence was amounted to indirect support for Israel’s brutalities against the Palestinians.
