ISLAMABAD: Two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members of the National Assembly (MNAs) filed a petition with the Election Commission of Pakistan against the prime minister, seeking his disqualification.
Addressing the media outside the ECP office in Islamabad on Wednesday, MNAs Ali Muhammad Khan and Murad Saeed said they had filed the petition which called for the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as a member of the National Assembly.
Khan added that the prime minister was no longer "sadiq" and "ameen" and was therefore, not eligible to be an MNA.
He added that Nawaz Sharif was misusing his power to provide benefits to his family.
Saeed said his party has also demanded certified copies of the prime minister's nomination papers.
He remarked that Nawaz Sharif does not fulfill the requirements of Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution and hence, could not even take part in elections.
Referring to the Asghar Khan case, he claimed that the prime minister was a defaulter. The premier was one of the politicians accused of receiving monetary favours from agencies in order to rig the 1990 elections against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Prime Minister Nawaz, however, has denied the allegations.
Saeed further alleged that the premier brokered a deal with former president Pervez Musharraf to go abroad when his government was toppled over during the 1999 coup, and further accused him of lying to the nation.
“We have proofs of his moral misconduct but we are not bringing up such matters at the moment”, a PTI leader told The Express Tribune
In case the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) or Arsalan Iftikhar take up the matter of Imran Khan’s alleged turpitude, PTI seems all set to bring up alleged scams of PML-N politicians in an apparent tit-for-tat move that has come to define the nature of politics in the country since the 1990s.
Every parliamentary candidate needs to fill in the prescribed nomination papers, before contesting elections. Candidature of every contestant is evaluated by the returning officers (ROs) under Articles 62 and 63 before declaring a candidate qualified to enter the election race. In case someone is not satisfied with the ROs decision, they can approach higher forums.
However, at the time of the elections, neither of the two parties had raised objections over the other’s nomination papers. Eventually, leaders of both the PTI and PML-N managed to win from multiple seats in last year’s general elections.
Meanwhile, ECP officials have said they are willing to give both sides copies of the requested documents.
After completion of the documentation, a reference can be filed with the speaker of the National Assembly in the case of the prime minister and the PTI chief.

Sister, you simply need to enlighten us whether Arsalan Iftikhar's query has merit or not? PML-N will never have a hard time assassinating a cheap character. Also tell us why IK is gunning for GEO and Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman on the basis of a benign tweet from Umar Cheema.
As for embezzlement of SKMH and PTI party's fund, where is the much trumpeted forensic audit which is yet to be publicized despite repeated requests by overseas donors and PTI office bearers? If you need further information on this loot and plunder of donor funds, better contact Muhammad Nadeem Iqbal and Akbar Sher Babar on their respective facebook pages and they will tell you how he the bank accounts of paid employees of the PTI’s Central Secretariat were used as a front to collect millions of rupees donations from various sources. Hard earned money of PTI donors were deposited in these front accounts that was then withdrawn by the paid PTI employees in whose names the bank accounts operated.
All those, who are blaming I.K for SKMH zakaat money. You guys need to visit SKMH. I pay my zakaat to SKMH and have visited it many times, and i'm sure this money is in safe hands. Go and apply these cheap pmln tactics somewhere else.

That said, though I don't agree with this third child issue, the FACT is that IK has a third child out of wedlook in Los Angeles, USA. He was called in to a LA county superior court house as a father and gave up the rights of his daughter to her mother. He has THREE CHILDERN and that should have been noticed on the nomination papers. He lied and wrote only two. No one but he is to blame for this!

Arsalan Iftikhar has only asked one question. If Imran Khan answers that in yes or no, the whole problem is solved and CJ's son will withdraw the reference. But PTI suffers because Imran Khan cannot face the nation. His paranoia is so great that he hears a noise and think PMLN is behind it.

One would have been so impressed had the KPK government been proactive like Ali Mohammad Khan and Murad Saeed and charged those 3 QWP Ministers for corruption and graft.
