HYDERABAD: The killing of a worker of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) in Qasimabad Town triggered a violent reaction from the group, who forced the markets to shut down in Hyderabad on Monday.

Abdul Razaq Noonari, 35, was shot dead during a robbery at a shop in Citizen Colony on Sunday night by unidentified men. The ASWJ workers staged protests in different areas of the city. The group’s workers resorted to aerial firing in market areas to threaten the traders to close their shops.
