Ahmed said the PWF wants to send a team to the 7th International Wushu Championship (junior, youth, adults) in Tbilisi, Georgia on June 20; however, they are still waiting to be given No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the government.
“Wushu may be a small sport, but we’ve always delivered big results,” Ahmed told The Express Tribune. “Each time our team has competed in the Asian Games, we’ve brought medals. We won a bronze medal in 2007 and then a silver in China in 2010. Our players are capable of performing much better internationally.”
The secretary added that on the local front, the federation was planning to hold a junior championship from June 20 in Jhang.
