A consultative workshop is being held today in Hyderabad to develop a human resources plan as well as finalise the rules and regulations for the Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences (Jims), which is currently being formed.


Over 17 serving and retired senior officers of health and other related departments have been nominated to give their input at the workshop. Jims is being set up in Jacobabad with the assistance of the USAID programme and the workshop is being organised with the help of its JSI Health System Strengthening section.

The participants of the workshop include Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences director Dr Rahim Bux Bhatti, Shahdadpur Institute of Medical Sciences director Dr Maryam Chutto and Sindh Health Services director-general Dr Hafeez Memon.
