FAISALABAD: A girl was allegedly raped by two people in Chak 630 GB, Lundianwala, on Friday.
Ghulam Fareed, the girl’s uncle, told the media that the men abducted the girl on her way to the market. They took her to a deserted place where they raped her at gunpoint. He said they also beat her up when she resisted. The girl still managed to raise hue and cry and caught the attention of some people in the vicinity. Fearing arrest, the rapists fled.
The Ludianwala station house officer told The Express Tribune that they were waiting for the girl’s medical examination report. Further action will be taken upon its receipt, he said.
“We have also constituted a police team to trace the whereabouts of the men and arrest them. However both are still at large,” the station house officer said.
In separate incidents, a 12-year-old boy was molested in Chak 122 JB, Noorpur, and a girl in Chak 658 GB.
The police have registered FIRs in these cases but the police has confirmed that no one has been arrested so far.
