Accidents on Murree Road: Cat’s eyes for ‘most dangerous curves’

District government decides to construct a sidewall and place cat’s eyes on curves on the road.

RAWALPINDI: After the loss of dozens of precious lives, the district government has decided to construct a sidewall and place cat’s eyes on curves which are deemed most dangerous on Murree Road as safety measures. After least 10 persons died in a road accident on Sunday, the traffic police held a meeting with the Rawalpindi commissioner, stated acting City Traffic Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Yousaf. “It was an accident and we are taking steps to implement safety measures.” An inquiry is under way.”Security cameras will be installed in view of recent accidents.  Cranes and searchlights will be handed over to Rescue 1122.” Pims spokesperson Dr Ayesha Ehsani, said the hospital received 15 injured people, including a woman, who was discharged at her request.
