SUKKUR:

The four employees of IBA Community College, Jacobabad, who had been missing since last Saturday, finally reached home after a lapse of four days, on Wednesday.

The college principal, Asadullah Mangi, lecturer Syed Tahir Shah, accountant Zahid Jokhio and driver Anwar Jamali were reportedly released from captivity on Tuesday night.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Mangi said that they had left Jacobabad for Sukkur at 7pm last Saturday. When they reached near a rice mill in the outskirts of Shikarpur, a group of armed bandits intercepted their vehicle and forced them out of at gunpoint.

He went on to say that they were blindfolded by the bandits and taken to an unknown location on motorcycles.

In the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, the kidnappers had ordered them to make a run from the area as the police was about to raid their hideout. The four managed to make their way to the nearest village from where they hired a taxi which brought them to Sukkur.
