A three-member bench heard the case today and asked acting IG FC to appear as the IG FC could not come to the court due to his health conditions.
During the proceedings, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that there are 60 hours left before he retires, which are equal to 60 years in terms of making sure the case proceeds in the right direction.
“No one should be under the illusion that the case will end as soon as I retire,” he added.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also appeared before the court to present the government’s view to the bench.
In the last hearing, the government had produced seven out of 35 missing prisoners of Malakand Jail before the apex court.
Asif had also submitted a breakdown of the 35 persons and their locations.

CJ should remember that he's a civil servant and not a king. So he should behave as a civil servant! He is undully supporting the terrorist and raw agents who are unluckly Pakistanis and are lebelled as missing persons who are involved in killing of inocent people of Pakistan and Pakistan Army! So don't humilate the senior army officers and other ranks just keep in mind how they are sacrificing their lives for our better tomorrow. .
The health of the acting IG FC will deteriorate as well. It is strange how our system works in such unity to bypass the law. IG FC will now bring medical reports, hospital records etc. with such ease just to prove that he was not well, and i am sure it will all be a lie.
A man who got 100% opportunity, but failed miserably to do justice to his office.
After the CJ retires, THEY will register cases against him and his son. Mark my words. THEY will take revenge.
The drama of "the cross eyed cockerel" continues. Some people are nuisance & he is one such Machiavellian character.
The CJP should give his haunting verdict.
Defence officials will now say that they are being "defamed". Breaking the law however is a matter of pride.
