Neighbourly duty: China wants to share its progress

China wants to pursue a policy of regional co-existence with its neighbours including India, says envoy.

China is determined to treat neighbours as partners so that both countries could prosper together.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong has said that the Pakistani investors should take benefit of the huge investment opportunities offered by western China. Addressing a seminar on Pakistan Council on China (PCC) at a local hotel Weidong said, China is keen to share its progress with its neighbour.


China is determined to treat neighbours as partners so that both countries could prosper together. China has helped Pakistan with a satellite system that would help Pakistan in weather and disaster forecast. He added that China would continue supporting Pakistan’s counter-terrorism operations as both countries have been victims of terrorism.

Answering a question, he said that China wants to pursue a policy of regional co-existence with its neighbours including India. China and India have decided to resolve their disputes through negotiations as China wants to focus on development.
