Since, Jatoi has been proven a minor, his case will be referred to a juvenile court or a sessions court.
The report, compiled by police surgeon Dr Jamil Qazi, was handed over to the investigative team probing into the murder case, today.
According to the report, Jatoi weighs 70kg while his height is five feet and nine inches. Jatoi’s date of birth mentioned on the age certificate is November 29, 1995.
Shahzeb, the young son of a police officer, was shot dead in the upscale Defence neighbourhood of Karachi on December 25 over a petty dispute.
Prime suspect Shahrukh, who had slipped away from the country to evade arrest after the murder, was brought back by the police after he was deported from Dubai. He was identified as the alleged killer by the witnesses during an identification parade.
Shahrukh will also be taken to hospital today for his age verification.

All evidences are available that he was above 16 years of age. The father of murdered person is not keen because he got a good job.Justice demands that the father of murderer who twisted statements that he studied abroad for 7-8 years and that he was a student of MBA be also be made an accused on the pretext that he was providing baseless information to save his son. Also the doctor who examined him and declared him a minor be also prosecuted.Do not make fun of the justice. More over also be sentenced to death and all others be flogged on main squares of city apart from jail sentence.Check all documents to ascertain his age.
@WebPakistan: No, he has been "removed" from the case as he should not have been involved in it in the first place as this is a conflict of interest. He was interrogating Shahrukh, and has his own agenda to try to ensure that Shahrukh is convicted. He should NOT have been allowed on this case in the first place! A cop investigating the death of your own son? What a joke! He's probably stitched this kid up good and proper, and now has to go and hide somewhere else to "not be associated" with this case. A good, honest, decent cop who is doing their job properly is never removed from an investigation in the middle of it if he's doing the right thing! But he's the victim's father, and if he WAS a good, honest, decent cop, then he would have had nothing to do with the case in the first place!

News Flash!!! Shahzeb's father has just been appointed at a new position in the Traffic Police Clifton center so some sort of compromise may have been reached. This is what happens when the rich and powerful control the law. Even a DSP cannot get justice for the death of his son. I dread to think what it takes for a poor man to get justice!!!!!!
If he was underage then how come he got the CNIC and then got the Passport issued from NDRA?
What is the authentic document to tell age of a person in Pakistan? Do they have to conduct "medical test by police surgeon" every time?? What is the credibility of Passport? On what basis the Australian college admitted him?? Do they give admissions to unattended minors?? is the school leaving certificate fake??

If the son is a minor, it is the parents' responsibility to control him.
If they are unable to do so, they're equally responsible for his actions in my eyes.

There is due process of law. The "civilized" urban bloggers and ET who are calling for the hanging in public without any trial are the ones who lynch people in mobs, be it in Sialkot, or in Karachi. Justice does not mean hanging is public, it means investigations and trial it's fair and not based on hatred. Similarly, the rules are not changed in the middle of the game. If someone is juvenile, he has to be treated as such. Period.

WOW makes me realize how as an ordinary person I am so insignificant in this country. One day a big powerful person can come and kill me and no one will care because my life is cheaper than the cars they drive in.

Thank God I left Pakistan. I am from a very very ordinary background and I don't think I would be able to get justice if someday a wadera killed me. Stories like this scare me from even visiting Pakistan now.

Hopefully justice will prevail. Now it is also the time for the gloomy father and family members, if the father had shown the same interest in taking proper action in killing of many cases, which he must have dealt in his career, may be his son would have been alive. He must also see his role when he was posted in CM House, whether he was taking the same action on complaints as he wanted on his own son case. The same advice is for the doctors, if they made a false report, otherwise, I hope that they will face the same consequencies, in due course of time, as Allah is the best judge and He knows better.

Powerful and influential can get away with any crime even a murder. This is justice Pakistan style, even the Chief Justice of Supreme court is helpless. Quran says that "killing of an individual is like killing humanity." But who cares!

We live in a land where money and power buy justice. One thing that we should always remember is that no one will come to our rescue until we as a society stand up towards injustice. Keeping quite in case of injustice is like being in alliance with the oppressors. What can one chief justice do? We have to stand up, we have to stop the lawlessness in our country, we have to support who are being oppressed as we can be the next victim.

I know what the law says but as far as I see it, minor is only a state of mind. This boy was mature enough to understand what he was doing pulling that triger. He shot to kill. Simple as that. He knew he has a strong family backing who's rich and powerful enough to keep him out of harms way. I suggest he should be given a severe punishment. Set an example.
Everyone should Petition to the Supreme Court on this issue. He is surely over the age of 18 as indicated by the interview of his father. He should be tried along with other accused. Someone please convince his father to go to the Supreme Court for this.
His passport pictures were flashed on all TV channels clearly showing his age. There is non need for this tamasha other than to get him off the hook. I urge all papers to print copies of his passport and ID card.
His age has been forged for sure. Every department is a sell out in our country. First it was those thugs who let them out, and now its the medical department corroborating he is juvenile. Not forgetting they are lie under our government. I question where is NADRA, why dont they come up and deny the reports if they have a record. What about other departments like passport offices which can also verify the correct age. In case every department is deprave, his age should be rechecked by a credible international institute or an NGO! I wont let him go....

His father said that he has been studying in Australia for 7-8 years. Did he send him when he was 9! What a joke this report is. If he has a different age on passport then he should be tried for fraud as well!

Age is not the only factor to determine one as Juvenile.... Shahrukh has travlled to 40 international destinations... he has been exposed to the best of education. No Juvenile can commit the kind of murder he has been accused of.

I have come to a conclusion that its high time that I shift out of his country. Not because I am afraid of anything, but I have realised that an ordinary citizen's life is not important. I do not want to live a life where my life is inferior to somebody else's.
