The code of conduct bars PTI supporters from using foul language and from disrespecting other online users. “PTI values the right of expression for every person but hopes conflicts and disagreements are amicably sorted out with dignity and courtesy,” read the code of conduct.
The party also urged its online supporters to respect the media personnel and “present counter arguments with dignity, respect and courtesy taking strong care not to abuse or attack media personnel in any way whatsoever”.
The supporters were also advised to use their real identities on the social media and refrain from using fake accounts.
The party has formed an “Abuse Monitoring Cell” where the complaints of the offenders can be forwarded to. The complaint, with a link to the abuser/abusive content and/or a screenshot, can be sent to abuse.control@insaf.pk, after which the abuse control team will conduct preliminary investigation within three days.
Aside from outright hacking, PTI supporters or impersonators have been known to carry out mass online attacks on journalists and media groups, particularly using spamming of Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and email inboxes as a means to register their protest against critiques of the party or its chairman Imran Khan.
The party has often issued statements distancing itself from unruly online supporters, including the “Insaf Cyber Team”.
Last year in January, Imran had also advised his supporters to reply “intellectually” to criticism thrown towards the party by analysts.

PTI rocks, Imran Khan zindabad. very good and intellectual move.
Yes thats a good initiative . The reality is that the trolls who abuse on social media on twitter and facebook r paid PMLN trolls . Paid PMLN trolls r doing fake propaganda against PTI . For proof , everyone must watch this video . http://youtu.be/HDJaUI_-8NQ
I personally think that some of them are impersonators who in the disguise of PTI supporter tarnish the image of the Party by abusing other internauts and anchors. My request to tv anchors is that they stick to journalism ethics and standards.
This PTI is so tech-savvy :) I was going to vote for them but, then IK went on saying that it's okay to go to Afghanistan and kill fellow brothers. Then I thought, never mind!
the kind of language Mr Imran Khan use for his opponents, no wonder he has follower like these.
I hereby pledge to adhere to the PTI Social Media Code of Conduct.
Well done PTI. The ONLY party that talks about & values code of conduct. That should be the reason enough to vote for them.
great initiative
At the least PTI is honest enough to discipline its supporters even at the expense of becoming unpopular. That itself is testament to the fact that PTI stands out from the pack.
At least PTI acknowledges that their people are using abusive language.
This video is enough to expose PTI paid social media team.

A good step by PTI. Shows that there is maturity of thought, and that the party takes steps to address improper behaviour. People make a lot of noise about 'trolls,' and the behaviour is not justified. While laying on the criticism however, they should also remember that workers of other political parties in Pakistan don't just rely on social media to vent their frustrations. They use physical force, and as we all know, often dispatch their opponents into the afterlife.
Hope that PTI followers follow their own leadershop instructions and restrain abisive language , they are known for.
So Pakistan Cyber Police is that advance, last time I reported them about a vulgar website posting dirty stories and phone numbers of people they didn't replied me yet. Got a mess from PTA please complain on Cyber Crime Dept and nothing happened after that.
