Pakistan Post launches electronic money order

The EMO is a pilot project and is initially being launched in 17 cities.

In an effort to modernise postal services, Pakistan Post launched the electronic money order (EMO) service here at the General Post Office on Thursday.


Pakistan Post is making efforts to be on a par with other private courier services, said Divisional Superintendent Post Office Naseem Bibi at the launch ceremony. She said the EMO service would allow people to instantly transfer up to Rs100,000 to any destination in the country.

The EMO is a pilot project and is initially being launched in 17 cities, she added.

Nice initiative but too late. However, good is not late whenever it happen.
