ANP leader gunned down in Orangi Town

Amanullah died on the spot after being shot four times by assailants on a bike.

KARACHI: A local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) was gunned down in a targeted attack in Orangi Town area of Karachi on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Amanullah, 36.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rustam Khattak, said that the deceased was the ANP Ward president for the MPR Colony, adding that at least two armed men on a motorcycle had opened fire on Amanullah.

The assailants had managed to escape after the attack.

The ANP leader was shot four times and died shortly after the incident. Police and rangers reached the area to avoid any untoward incident.
