Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan threaten Myanmar over Rohingya
In a rare statement focused on the plight of Muslims abroad, the umbrella TTP group sought to present itself as a defender of Muslim men and women in Myanmar, saying "we will take revenge of your blood".
Spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan demanded that the Pakistani government halt all relations with Myanmar and close down its embassy in Islamabad.
"Otherwise we will not only attack Burmese interests anywhere but will also attack the Pakistani fellows of Burma one by one," he said in a statement.
The Myanmar embassy in Islamabad was not immediately reachable for comment.
The TTP frequently claims attacks on security forces in Pakistan but its ability to wage violence in countries further afield has been questioned.
But US officials say there is evidence the group was behind a failed 2010 attempt to bomb Times Square in New York, for which Pakistani-American Faisal Shahzad was jailed for life.
TTP leader Hakimullah Mehsud has also been charged in the United States over the killings of seven CIA agents who died when a Jordanian al Qaeda double agent blew himself up at a US base in Afghanistan in December 2009.
Recent clashes in western Myanmar between Buddhist ethnic Rakhine and Muslim Rohingya have left dozens dead and tens of thousands homeless.
Last week, Amnesty International said hundreds of people, mostly men and boys, have been detained in sweeps of areas heavily populated by the Rohingya, with almost all held incommunicado and some ill-treated.
Most arrests appear to have been "arbitrary and discriminatory" and Amnesty said there were "credible reports" of abuses - including rape, destruction of property and unlawful killings - by both Rakhine Buddhists and the security forces.
Decades of discrimination have left the Rohingya stateless, and they are viewed by the United Nations as one of the world's most persecuted minorities.

how can pakistan be mad when they killed millions of Bangladeshi during 1971. Now they are crying crocodile tears over these rohingyas. You think pakistani are not racist against these rohingyas? They hate them, if rohingya went to pakistan they would be getting oppressed by their fellow muslims. The taliban just want to start something. Whenever someone hurts Islam ans Muslims, more people convert to Islam. It's a fact that one day Islam will expand everywhere in the world one day. It's Allah 's promise. I'm not very happy that more people have to die to save the Burmese Muslims... But someone has to do something after all.

The threat of the TTP seems quite unrealistic. Apart from Burmese embassies abroad, it's difficult for them to stage any attack inside Burma itself, unless they have allies in Bangladesh.

You have a good point there and persecution of Muslims in China is a fact.However I disagree with the extermination part of your comment.China only recognize non Han Chinese Muslims as a separate ethnicity. Han Muslims are in greater number than other Muslim ethnic groups in China, just that they are now counted as Han Chinese and not separately. China's vice premier Hui Liangyu is a Muslim. Also your total number of 15 million Muslims in China sounds too low. There are about 10 m Hui (same ethnicity as the vice premiere) Muslims and 9 million Uighur (Turkic). Just these 2 groups make 18 million. Some other estimates put it somewhere between 25-50 million. It is impossible to verify actual number of Muslims within majority Han ethnicity. Han Chinese make 92% of China's population.

Now Myanmar Muslim can't pray Namaz in mosque and can't fasting in Holy Ramadan. They facing very plight situation. Now, i request to TTP please do something for poor minority. At this time world leaders are silent about this case. You have to help these poor Muslim minority anyway. Allah please save them from Jalam hands.

@antony: I often hear of plight of kashmiris in India. Education level of Kashmiiris has risen to second highest (not Madarasa) in India from a near bottom ranking a few decades ago. Economy wise, pls check with any Kashmiri would he like to go back a couple of decades when pakistan and its jihadis were calling the shots. Girl attendance of schools is over 90%.
I think that you assume all kashmiris want to follow shariat otherwise they are persecuted. Please do ground check and then discuss.

This is totally outrage. Misunderstanding of the century!!!!! All news agencies around the world make matter worse they turn Rohinga conflict into religious conflict between Buddhism and Muslim. None of them have any sort of solid evidence. Come and look at Myanmar there are hundreds of mosques and wealthy Muslim. Biggest construction companies in Myanmar are owned by Muslim. Do not take my words and go and check through Internet type “Naing Construction” or “Father Land Construction” you will know the truth behind all media hype.
Whom should one blame for creation of these terrorist groups to create trouble in India (including Mumbai Massacre) but who have now turned against their own creators, the not-so-deep "Shallow State"?
