Violence claims 4 lives in Karachi

Police says gang war suspects were involved in incidents of violence.

KARACHI: Four people were killed while 10 were injured in the ongoing spate of violence in Karachi on Monday, Express News reported.

Lyari town and adjacent areas faced tension after a series of firing incidents that took place in various areas of Karachi, including Garden and Pan Mandi.

One person was killed, while one was injured today when a firing incident took place near Hassan Lashkari Village, Garden.

The dead was identified as Irfan while three were injured were identified as Hanif, Mohamad Yousaf, and Asgar. Unknown motorcyclists had open fired at a lassi and tea stall at Pan Mandi, Kharadar.

Following this, unknown motorcyclists opened fire and injured Mohamad Zubair and Sher Alam at Kamil Gali.

Victims of both the incidents were shifted to Civil Hospital, where three of the survivors are said to be in a critical condition.

Police said in both the incidents, gang war suspects were involved.

In a separate incident in Defence Phase IV, near Nisar Shaheed Park, a security guard, Gulroz Khan, was shot dead by unknown motorcyclists, who fled after snatching his rifle.

Mohib Ullah was killed by unidentified gunmen outside his house at Mianwala Colony, in North Nazimabad.
