Reading: Aftab’s poetry celebrated at RAC

RAWALPINDI:

A large number of people attended an evening with noted poet and intellectual Aftab Ahmed Aftab at the Rawalpindi Arts Council on Tuesday, said a press release.

Aftab recited his tragic and comic poetry to an appreciative audience from all walks of life.

Naheed Manzoor, a visitor, said Aftab is a splendid addition to Urdu literature. The sensitivity of the poet will get him to the zenith of popularity, she added.

RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said Aftab’s narration and way of expressing the feelings about love and mankind is remarkable. He also praised Ahmad’s command over both serious and comic poetry.
