KARACHI:
Jahanzeb Khan, Sajjid Ali, Kashanul Haq and Asad Abdul Shakoor qualified for the men’s singles main round of the Subhe Nau National Clay Court Tennis Championship being held at the Pakistan Tennis Federation Complex in Islamabad. Jahanzeb defeated Asif barki 8-1, while Ali overcame Hamzabin Asif 8-4. Haq thrashed Zia Niazi 8-1 in the final qualifying round.
In other matches, Arham Atique defeated Farhad Ali Raja 8-3 and Asjad Aitezaz beat Shafi Bagri 8-0 to book a place in the main draw. Meanwhile, Aqeel Khan will now play Jahanzeb in the first round men’s singles match today while Hamidul Haq will also play his opening match.
