Marriage woes: Teenager attempts suicide over

A 16-year-old girl was hospitalised on Sunday after she attempted suicide over a marriage dispute at her house in Ghulam Muhammadabad police station precincts. Doctors who were treating Saima Ahmad, a resident of Mohallah Usman Ghani, her at Allied Hospital described her condition as critical. The family said the girl was dejected over his fiancé’s refusal to marry her. On Sunday, they said, she locked herself inside her room and attempted suicide by injuring herself with a dagger.
