MURREE: Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan was appointed as the acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry at the Government House in Murree. Judges of the Supreme Court, the Federal Shariat Court, provincial high courts, chief justice Azad Jammu and Kashmir, chief justice Gilgit-Baltistan, attorney general Pakistan as well as officials of the election commission and the SC attended the ceremony. Registrar of the SC Faqir Hussain conducted proceedings on the occasion.
