Floods 2011: Watan cards distributed in Hazara

Provincial government has started distributing its 2nd instalment of compensation for flood-affected people.

ABBOTABAD: The provincial government has started distributing its second instalment of compensation for flood-affected people in the Hazara division. This distribution is being carried out through Watan cards. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Higher Education Qazi Mohammad Asad Khan started the distribution of cards on Saturday, through which each family will get Rs40,000 of compensation.  Addressing a meeting later, the minister said that a total of 6,337 stricken families of Haripur district would be given Watan cards.
