Seven booked for injuring Chinese engineers

The Nishatabad police on Wednesday registered a case against seven people on charges of injuring four Chinese engineers over a minor dispute in Faisalabad.


According to the police, four Chinese engineers – Lee Xian,  Raoly Yang, Yau Yaw and Wang Yu Yang – exchanged heated arguments with the villagers of Chak No 6-JB on Tuesday, as the water released by the villagers for irrigation was causing damage to a small bridge being constructed over a canal drain near Motorway (M-4) in Kamal Pur.

In retaliation, the infuriated villagers attacked the Chinese engineers with clubs and axes.

The police registered a case against seven suspects and have arrested five of them namely, Musharraf, Ghulam Murtaza, Allah Rahm, Shaukat and Qamar.

bulbul | 13 years ago | Reply Chinese should have refrained from an argument. After all its illiterate Pakistani Qoum they were arguing with.
