LAHORE: Lahore police claimed to have arrested a person involved in a plan to assassinate banned organisation chief, Hafiz Saeed.

Sources said locals caught a suspicious person from the banned organisation Jamat ud Dawa’s mosque in Lahore on Tuesday. Locals handed him over to police where he confessed to monitoring the movements of Hafiz Saeed.

He said he belonged to a banned organization, which had planned to assassinate Saeed. Police sources have confirmed this incident.

Pakistan’s Supreme Court had earlier upheld the freedom of Saeed, who was accused of masterminding the Mumbai attacks, dismissing government appeals against his release from house arrest.

Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had backed the Supreme Court’s decision, stating that proof provided by India against Hafiz Saeed was not legally tenable.

what a ridiculous revelation! It seems there is a calculated move on the part of pro-extremism Punjab government, to beep up an extremist’s security. It will tantamount to putting at stake much needed public security against threats from terrorists turned extremists. On the other hand media is busy creating unrest in Public by interpreting each and every national and international development in religious perspective. For them, mother of all evils is existence of infidels on this beautiful universe. They want to kill all of them to make this world free of bloodshed and injustice. Media is incapable of exposing double standard ethos of so called champions of Islam. TV anchors prove to be champion of fanaticism by invoking sentiment of hatred and aggression among general masses. Knowingly and unknowingly they have become real and most effective mouthpiece of dictatorial and extremist forces.Recommend

The Paper needs to refresh its information. Jamat-ud-Dawah is not a banned organization in Pakistan. Lahore High Court recently ruled that JuD is a legal organization.
And You must know that Hafiz Saeed lives in millions of hearts in south asia. Millions of hands are raised to pray for his safety. Allah will protect him insh AllahRecommend
