Matriculation examination results announced

Two boys share first position after securing a score of 1,091

LAHORE: The matriculation results were announced on Friday. A student from the Punjab Daanish School for Boys, located in one of the lowest ranking districts in the entire province, secured first place in the matriculation examinations.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) announced the position holders of the annual matriculation examination 2018 on Friday. In the overall results, two boys came in first place, while a boy and a girl secured second position.

Matric Position holders to be announced today 

According to the results, the overall first position was shared by Waseem Yaseen of the Punjab Daanish School for Boys in Rajanpur and Taussef Afzal from the Ali Public High School in Lahore. Both the first position holders secured 1,091 marks.

Second position was also shared by two students. Muhammad Hashim Faisal of The Educators High School For Boys Sabzazar Campus and Wajha Aslam of The Trust High School Harbanspura Lahore came in second after securing 1,090 marks, while Hafsa Saleem of the Allama Iqbal Public High School for Girls in Kasur came third after securing 1,089 marks.

The names were announced by Lahore BISE Chairman Prof Chaudhry Ismail in a ceremony held at the BISE office on Friday evening. A prize distribution ceremony for the high achievers will be held at a local hotel on Saturday.
