Improving Education: Foundation stone for new school laid

The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan laid down the foundation stone of a primary and secondary school at Swat.

SWAT: The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Saif Sultan Al-Awani, laid down the foundation stone of a primary and secondary school at Swat on Wednesday. The school will have 22 classrooms, three laboratories, a clinic and a cafeteria that can accommodate 1,000 students. It is part of the implementation phase of educational projects funded and supervised by the UAE Government, which allocated $26 million as part of the UAE’s “Help Pakistan” project. The construction, maintenance, and reconstruction of 51 educational projects will be carried out in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, South Waziristan Agency & Bajaur Agency. They are divided into 44 primary education projects and 11 secondary and higher education projects to be ready by 18 months.
