One dead, policeman injured in separate attacks in Karachi

One civilian killed, two policemen injured

KARACHI: At least one civilian was killed and three others injured on Friday in separate incidents in Karachi's North Nazimabad area.

Police constable Muhammad Iqbal was injured when unidentified assailants lobbed a hand grenade at the premises of Taimuria Police Station.

In a separate incident, in the same area, an exchange of fire took place between police and suspects of the grenade attack at Five Star chowrangi. 

A civilian, Ali Imran, died while en route to hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, a traffic warden identified as Bashir was also injured in the crossfire.

IG Sindh AD Khawaja took notice of the incident and has directed DIG West to conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident.
