PTI chief says nation is united in support of Kashmir

ABBOTTABAD/ TAXILA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Friday said the nation is united on the crunch issue of Kashmir as he paid rich tributes to the brave hearts struggling for the right to self-determination.

“When nations decide to become free, tanks and guns cannot stop them,” the PTI chairman said while addressing an election campaign in connection with the by-election in Taxila.

The PTI and the PML-N have each launched vigorous election campaigns for the PP-7 (Taxila-Chakri) Rawalpindi-IV by-election to be held on September 26. The seat fell vacant after the death of PTI’s MPA-elect Mohammad Sadeeq Khan. Ammar Sadeeq Khan is the PTI’s candidate.





“Had it been possible to enslave a nation with the help of force, the US would have enslaved Afghanistan by now,” he said and prayed for the early liberation of Kashmir and Palestine.

Imran said the prosperity of a country lies in the strength of its institutions. He added that corruption has the power to ruin any institution. “When there is corruption, investor moves to Bangladesh from Pakistan”, said Imran.

He said that a resourceful person in Pakistan could do anything. “Nawaz Sharif was caught red-handed in the Panama leaks, but the Supreme Court terms this case non-serious. We are unable to get justice from any state institution,” he added.



The PTI chief said his party never caused any unrest in its 20-year history and added that ‘Gullu Butts’ had attacked the caravan in Gujranwala during the 2014 march from police vans but “if they did something similar on September 30, PTI workers wouldn’t tolerate it and will fight back”.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan cancelled his visit to Galiyat area to inaugurate two micro-hydel power projects. Party sources and district administration said that Khan was due in Bakot village of Galiyat valley in Abbottabad district on Friday.
