PSO continues fuel supplies

The Oil Tankers Union tried to disrupt the fuel supplies

Press Release August 31, 2016

KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has said that owing to timely steps, there was no fuel shortage in the country and its fleet was supplying oil products to its outlets. According to a PSO press release, the civil administration of Muzaffarabad - a major trucking hub in central Pakistan ¬ had decided to streamline the movement of oil tankers. The cartage contractors of PSO were given the responsibility of lining up the tanker trucks, which infuriated the truckers union and they went on a strike. The Oil Tankers Union tried to disrupt the fuel supplies and create a law and order situation but the civil authorities thwarted their designs. As a responsible public entity, PSO continues to supply oil across the country, the press release said.
