LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has accepted that its officials -- one superintendent engineer and four executive engineers (Xens) -- were involved in corruption. On Saturday, the NAB arrested four Lesco employees --Azizur Rehman, Ahmed Shahzad, Muhammad Naeem and Shafqat Mahmood – on charges of misuse of authority, illegal gratification and corruption. A departmental inquiry report available with the Express Investigation Cell acknowledges that Superintendent Engineer GSO Rehman and four Xens were involved in large-scale overbilling in the industrial sector and demanding heavy sums of money when customers contacted the Lesco office for rectification of bills. Lesco did not correct the bill even after the report supported to stance of the customer forcing  NAB to arrest these officials.
