GUJRANWALA: A youth who was tied along with buffaloes over alleged theft charges was recovered by Gurjakh Police on Wednesday.

Police officials said that they received a tip off stating that influential landlord Kaka Gujjar, in Gulla Kumharan Wala, had tied 18-year-old youth Ali Raza for allegedly stealing a tyre for his donkey cart.

On receiving the news, police officials raided a buffalo stable where they found Raza tied to a tree.

The police arrested Raza and two accused Shahid and Zulfiqar and registered a case on the complaint of Raza’s father Muhammad Hafeez. “My son took nothing from these men this is all a lie,” Hafeez said. Raza said that on Tuesday, Kaka Gujjar’s son abducted him from his house and tied him in the stable with his animals for the entire day.

On the other hand Kaka Gujjar and his family said that Raza was a thief and they had recovered their donkey cart’s tyre from his possession.

The men said that tied him themselves because they would have wasted time if they handed him over to the police.

Gurjakh Police Station House Officer (SHO) Mudassar Butt said that the police had arrested the accused and that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
