Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday stayed an order of the Islamia University, Bahawalpur to suspend the BA degree of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ghulam Sarwar Khan.
The court issued the stay order on a petition filed by Khan, who was elected MNA from Taxila. The petitioner’s counsel, Barrister Syed Ali Zafar, said that the university had suspended the MNA’s engineering diploma and his bachelor’s degree.
He asserted that there was no justification for suspending the BA degree as there was no complaint against it.
